James Dank: Alex Grabowski, known professionally as James Dank, is a producer, musician and DJ based in Washington, DC. He is one of the founders of the music and arts collective “Hearts Collective” and is the second half of the DJ duo “Fort Fairmont” with fellow friend and DJ Noah Rowland. A diverse range of art and culture has informed his sensibility as a musician, and acumen as a promoter for “Hearts Collective.” Grabowski has performed at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts as a percussionist and has shared the bill with the likes of Bob Moses, The Funk Hunters, Henry Saiz, Nick Warren, Claptone and Subset. From modest beginning throwing house parties on Fairmont Street in Columbia Heights, he has rooted his passion for dance music in the DC nightclub scene.
